IMMIX Raises $3.5M to Make Global Stablecoin Payments Work Across Currencies
By Richard Snee, on behalf of the Crane Team
Stablecoins are changing how money moves around the world. But moving money is only part of the challenge. Converting it between currencies, particularly beyond the US dollar, remains expensive, complex and inefficient.
IMMIX is changing that.
The London-based company is building the infrastructure to make stablecoin currency conversions faster, more efficient and more accessible. By combining AI-powered pricing with institutional-grade trading technology, IMMIX is helping payment companies move money across currencies with greater certainty and lower costs.
Today, IMMIX announced $3.5 million in funding from Crane Venture Partners, BTSE and Portfolio Ventures to further develop its technology, expand liquidity and grow its partner network.
Why we're excited
At Crane, we believe some of the most important companies of the future will be those building the foundational technologies that make entirely new markets –and new ways of doing things, possible.
Stablecoins have enormous potential to transform global payments. But realising that potential requires more than new ways to move money. It requires the sophisticated infrastructure that makes those transactions work reliably, at scale, across currencies and markets.
Founders Dr Andrew Mann and Dr David Twomey bring an exceptional combination of deep technical expertise and real-world trading experience to this challenge. Their systems have already processed more than $25 billion in customer trading volume.
We believe IMMIX is building an essential piece of the infrastructure for the next generation of global payments.
Congratulations to Andrew, David and the entire IMMIX team. We're proud to be among your believers.
