    Krishna Visvanathan

    Co-founder & Partner

    Krishna co-founded Crane and has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to back European founders for 20 years, investing across every layer of the enterprise stack. Priorto VC, he had several operational roles including co-founding a deep tech start-up. Krishna was born and brought up in Malaysia but has spent the last 30 years in the UK. He is a passionate advocate of the European entrepreneur.

    Scott Sage

    Co-founder & Partner

    Scott co-founded Crane and has been backing European founders for 20 years. He previously spent time in marketing, strategy, research and finance roles before becoming a venture capitalist. Scott grew up in Texas and is used to being surrounded by humble self-starters. He believes there is so much potential in the future of the enterprise and invests across the stack.

  • Bonnie Kraus

    Bonnie Kraus

    COO & Partner

    Bonnie hails from Malaysia and is the Chief Operating Officer at Crane. She qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen and spent her early career in BDO advising growth companies on all things M&A. Prior to joining Crane, Bonnie was the Finance Director at Better Capital, a London Stock Exchange listed PE fund focused on operational turnaround. Bonnie gets a kick out of solving problems and enjoys helping start-ups navigate challenges in their back office.

    Partner

    Carlos is Head of APAC and Partner at Crane Venture Partners, based in Singapore. Previously, he served as a Principal at MassMutual Ventures, where he helped establish the firm's presence in the APAC and Europe. Before joining MMV, Carlos was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and had previously worked as an Equity Research Associate at BMO Capital Markets. Carlos holds an MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Economics from the University of Sussex.

  • Anandamoy Roychowdhary

    Anandamoy Roychowdhary

    Managing Director, India & APAC

    Roy is a Managing Director at Crane, where he leads investments in AI and Deeptech across India and APAC, partnering with founders building globally ambitious companies. He joins Crane following over a decade at Sequoia Capital India & Southeast Asia (now Peak XV), where he was an early-stage investor and a key contributor to the Surge program. Roy has worked closely with founders from inception through scale, developing deep conviction around what it takes to build enduring technology companies. His experience combines institutional insight, trusted founder relationships, and on-the-ground presence across one of the world’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems.

  • Anna Cachadiña Abelló

    Anna moved to the UK to pursue a degree in Computer Science. After working for a few years as a software developer at Goldman Sachs, she joined Crane to be at the heart of innovation. She enjoys diving deep into technical topics and aspires to support and learn from passionate founders. Born and raised in Barcelona, Anna grew up in an entrepreneurial family. She enjoys spending time outdoors and is always up for a long walk or a thought-provoking conversation (ideally, both combined!)

  • Yara Alenazi

    Yara is an investor at Crane Venture Partners, based in London. She brings experience from MassMutual Ventures Europe & APAC, where she led healthtech and biotech investments, and from Oxford Investment Consultants, backing early-stage UK companies. Yara is a trained Biomedical Scientist and holds a DPhil in Cardiovascular Medicine from the University of Oxford, with research that resulted in multiple publications, press coverage, and patents.

  • Max Chapman

    Max spent the past five years in San Francisco working as an investor. Before joining Crane, he was an Investment Associate at Sierra Ventures, an early-stage venture firm in the Bay Area. There, he led investments in enterprise software companies, focusing on data and AI infrastructure, vertical applications, and developer tooling. Max began his career building companies in Australia, his native country, before joining a venture fund in Singapore and then San Francisco to immerse himself in the world’s leading ecosystems for entrepreneurs and company builders.

  • Sidhant Goyal

    Sid is a Principal at Crane, and represents the firm in India. He graduated from IIT Delhi and started up in agri-tech while in college. After stints at McKinsey and EY, he joined Sequoia Capital’s early-stage team in India, investing across frontier tech, AI, and software. He then joined portfolio company Toddle as VP of Growth, scaling the business internationally, before returning to investing with Crane. Sid brings an operator’s perspective and strong founder empathy, partnering closely with teams to help translate early momentum into durable, global companies. He lives with his wife and three kids at Kanha Shanti Vanam, a meditation eco-village near Hyderabad.

  • Dan Jaeck

    Dan is a Principal based between New York and London, where he partners with founders building transformational software companies. Before joining Crane, he spent four years at Eniac Ventures in New York, investing in AI application-layer and infrastructure companies. Prior to Eniac, Dan began his career at Goldman Sachs in London on the Emerging Market Equities desk before moving to New York to join the firm’s U.S. Equity Research team, covering consumer internet and video-game companies.

  • Sam Kester

    Prior to Crane, Sam worked in a seed-stage enterprise software start up where he supported the founders across commercial and operational projects. Through these experiences he developed an empathy and admiration for early stage founders building the next generation of category defining companies. He particularly enjoys unearthing undiscovered founders and working with them prior to a Crane investment.

  • Morgane Zerath

    Morgane is an investment banker turned software sales leader turned VC. She joined Crane in 2021 to invest into ambitious founders and help them navigate their GTM. Prior to joining Crane, Morgane was the Sales Director at Tessian, one of the fastest growing SaaS companies in Europe (backed by Crane). Starting as a salesperson when the company was still 10 people, she then moved to a leadership role where she built and scaled the sales function in Europe. She spent her early years in Investment Banking, working closely with Private Equity funds on European LBOs.

  • Vivian Zhang

    Vivian is an investor at Crane Venture Partners, based in Singapore. She joins from MassMutual Ventures, where she focused on early-stage investments across Europe and APAC. Before that, she was a part of Cherry Ventures’ investment team in Berlin and served as a founder’s associate at a German consumer start-up. Originally from Canada, Vivian holds a master’s degree in Strategy and International Management from the University of St. Gallen.

  • Rav Dhaliwal

    Rav has held a number of executive positions in various Enterprise Software companies over the last 20 years, most recently at Slack where, as the first UK employee, he established the London office and founded the global Customer Success team. No stranger to hyper growth startups, Rav has also built and led post sales business units at Zendesk (ZEN) as well as Yammer (which was acquired by Microsoft). Rav loves rolling up his sleeves and works closely with Crane portfolio companies on all things Customer Success and Go-To-Market.

  • Ayala Ples

    Ayala entered the enterprise software world as a sales rep and evolved into a customer success manager. She joined Crane from Tessian where she worked with over one hundred legal and financial firms to deliver technology that protects them from security risk. Ayala grew up in Israel and Singapore, inspired by people who follow their vision to make it a reality. She loves getting to know new people, understanding their challenges and finding the tools to help them grow. Having been an early member of Tessian’s GTM and Customer Success teams, she aspires to become an extension of our portfolio cos’ teams to scale commercial operations and revenue growth.

  • Sheryl Quek

    Sheryl, based in Singapore, joins Crane from MassMutual Ventures. She is the Office Manager, supporting the APAC team and managing daily operations. Earlier in her career, she spent more than 20 years at Daimler Group, most recently as Executive Secretary in the financial services division, assisting the CFO. She also held roles at Philips, Great Eastern Life, and Borneo Motors. Sheryl holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from Birmingham City University.

    Justyna joined Crane in 2022 after twelve years in roles spanning sales, event management, team and office management at a Big 4 firm, a restaurant group and in investment management. She manages the day to day operations at Crane. Her enormous passion for delivering, planning and coordinating complex activities ensures the success of Crane’s mission.

  • Richard Snee New

    Richard brings to Crane over 25 years of success as a technology company marketing executive. The foundation of his background is that of a creative: a filmmaker, producer, musician, and writer. He is passionate about the value of authentic messaging, impactful storytelling and brand consistency in the work he does. His track record includes meaningful outcomes for companies both large and small and most recently, the successful IPO of Pivotal (PVTL), where Richard was the Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Global Real Estate.

  • James Spencer

    James is the Head of Legal at Crane, having spent the last decade as a UK-qualified solicitor predominantly advising early-stage investors, founders and companies on venture capital fundraising, shareholder arrangements, M&A, exits and other legal issues affecting early-stage companies. Prior to joining Crane, James spent over 8 years as a senior member of the Corporate team at London law firm, Mishcon de Reya. Within this period, he acted as seconded sole legal counsel to an investment manager, which managed over £12bn of funds. Most recently James acted as Head of Legal to a family office venture capital investor, investing internationally in companies and funds. James has also spent time working with tech incubators and accelerators and loves collaborating with founders to bring a pragmatic approach to solving legal issues.

    Ben brings decades of experience in product management, marketing and sales in every conceivable GTM motion—large enterprise, mid-market, open source, PLS and PLG etc—coupled with having advised over 100 companies from Seed to Series B. Ben loves rolling up his sleeves and works closely with Crane portfolio companies on all things Go-To-Market.

  • Ashwwani Verma

    Ashwwani Verma is a seasoned legal executive with over 17 years of experience advising leading venture capital and private equity funds, founders, and growth-stage companies across India, Southeast Asia, MENA, and the United States. Prior to his current role, he served as Director – Legal at Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA), where he advised investment teams on complex transactions, fund governance, regulatory compliance, and portfolio risk management. He is recognized for combining commercial insight with pragmatic legal counsel to enable efficient, compliant investing. He has also been founder of a PropTech platform in India, which gives him a good perspective of founders' pain points and practical challenges.

    Aleksa brings a unique blend of technical insight and financial expertise to the team. After earning a degree in Mechatronic Engineering from the University of Science and Technology in Krakow, she found a natural fit for her analytical skills in the financial sector. She spent five years in Jersey as part of a fund administration team, contributing to the firm's significant growth. Now in London as Fund Controller at Crane, she utilizes her structured approach to support the firm’s Venture Capital operations, helping to streamline processes and maintain precise financial standards.

    I joined Crane in April 2026 and oversee the firm's operations across India, ensuring the seamless execution of activities that support our founders, investors, and broader ecosystem. Prior to Crane, I worked with Sequoia Capital and spent several years in aviation as a Cabin Crew Manager, leading high performing teams and managing complex operations in fast paced environments. My passion lies in bringing structure to complexity, building meaningful relationships, and delivering exceptional experiences that enable teams and organizations to perform at their best.

  • Aga Paliwoda

    Aga joined Crane in 2026 as Executive Assistant to the Co-Founders, bringing 19 years of experience supporting founders and C-suite leaders. She began her career in the media sector (TV) before moving into edtech, insurtech, and social impact real estate. She enjoys being close to the action, supporting senior leaders at the point where key decisions are made.
